by Friedrich FRISIUS (1668 - 1721) "das ehrbare handwerk der Hutmacher" the work of the hatter Original woodcut from the graphic set of the work of Friedrich Frisius "Der vornehmsten Künstler und Handwerker Ceremonial-Politics" published in Leipzig by the Groschuff library in 1708. Bell printed on thin laid paper, slightly burnished and with some traces and residues of bonding on the left edge but overall in excellent condition, embellished with a refined tempera coloring. The work of Frisius, a German scholar and Director of the Altenburg Gymnasium until 12713, made up of nineteen sections, was conceived to illustrate and enhance the best-known craftsmanship at the time. Bibliography: Graesse "Tresor de Livres rares et precieux" Paris 1859-1869 vol.II n ° 636. Measurements in mm: 160ca x 305ca the sheet
